The Founders

Kevin and Brooke Minton are Lowcountry natives and parents to two busy girls, two Australian shepherds, and a micro fluffy Frenchie. They enjoy an on-the-go lifestyle of exercising, boating, enjoying their beloved town and traveling to experience new places in their off time. Kevin owns and operates multiple businesses in Beaufort and the surrounding areas, and Brooke has been a local radiologic technologist with a medical assisting background since obtaining her degree in 2018. Both share the common interest of providing exceptional customer service and support to local needs. The love for spoiling their pups and the desperate need for modernized dog care in Beaufort created their desire to provide a luxury pet resort to the area.

Our Co-Owners

Edward and Keller Welch moved to the Lowcountry in 2011 to start their young lives as newlyweds which evolved into the creation of multiple local businesses and adding three children along the way. They’re animal lovers and entrepreneurs, so after viewing the building when the concept of Posh Pooch was brought to them by the Minton’s, they knew they wanted to jump in 100% and haven’t looked back. Their children enjoy dog sitting and walking, so they’ll be very pleased to spend time with the pampered dogs at Posh Pooch! The Welch family additionally loves a good beach day, any day spent in the water and escaping to The Bahamas when they can.

Director of Operations

Brooke Minton and Jill Hicks are the mother-daughter duo that have taken the helm as Executive and Supervisor. Their shared passion for quality canine care and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in shaping the resort into a premier destination for discerning pet owners. Under their leadership, the facility has been able to maintain its primary focus on a personable experience for every guest, as they guide their staff to provide a top-tier encounter from check-in to check-out. Their combined expertise and strong team provide a fully sustainable environment with a whole-health wellness approach, setting a new standard in luxury pet accommodations. As a small, family owned and operated business, their clients can look forward to a tradition of personalized care and lasting commitment for years to come.
