Ever since I was a child, I’ve wanted to help animals and give them the best life possible. I truly believe Posh Pooch does exactly that!
What is your favorite part of caring for dogs each day?
Seeing how excited they are to see you every single day. That enthusiasm never gets old.
Which type of dog always steals your heart?
The Vizslas, for sure! They have such a beautiful energy about them.

Meeting and getting to know so many new sweet dogs. Every dog has their own personality, and discovering that is one of the best parts of this job.

What’s your favorite moment at pickup time?
Watching a pet start to realize their owner is there to pick them up. The second their tail starts wagging, and they do that little happy dance before sprinting over for a reunion is the best.
What kind of energy do you hope pets feel from you when they’re at Posh Pooch?
That they feel safe and comfortable in our care. Being away from home can be stressful, so staying calm and patient with them is the key to letting them know they’re in good hands.
What’s one thing you wish more people understood about dogs?
That they aren’t being ‘bad’ or trying to ‘annoy’ for no reason when they bark or jump on you. They’re communicating something the only way they know how. Once you understand that, everything changes.

What’s your favorite moment at pickup time?
Seeing the gratitude on the parents’ faces and knowing they trust us with their dogs, but most of all, the pets that turn around when their parents go to take them out the door at checkout because they don’t want to leave us.
What small detail do you think makes guests feel special here?
The personalized attention we give to each pet. Every dog has their favorite activities and little quirks, and we make sure to know those by heart.
What’s one thing you wish more people understood about dogs?
Each dog is unique and different. Just because something works for one doesn’t mean it could work for the next. Taking the time to understand how each pet reacts helps us build better relationships with them.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
Playing a role in helping the shy and nervous pets blossom when they are new to our facility. Watching them grow and become comfortable, confident, and/or outspoken is amazing.
Which dog breed matches your personality?
Springer Spaniel — full of energy, always playing, and hardly able to sit still. They’re a pure joy to be around, and honestly one of my favorite pets to have at Posh Pooch.
How would you describe the atmosphere at Posh Pooch to someone new?
Unlike any other. Filled with staff that care about each other and love the job they do every day. We bend over backward for each other and prioritize providing an environment that we’d want for our personal children, for the pets of Posh Pooch.
